About the owner
Like many youngsters of the day, Rajbir Bhamra completed her bachelor's degree and graduated with an empty feeling in her heart. Doubting and rethinking the last few years of her life and confused about what to do next, Rajbir decided that the foremost feeling in her heart was to rediscover herself and find a purpose.
Growing up in Jamshedpur and then moving to Bangalore in 2012, like many of us who didn’t grow up in their native land, Rajbir knew about her heritage only through her family and the common ideals Indians had about each other. And that’s when she decided, the first step to her journey of self-discovery would be tracing back her roots. Buying the first ticket out of Bangalore to Delhi, Rajbir took a solo trip through North India. Delhi, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Patiala, the villages in Punjab, she travelled them all and on these travels, Rajbir found love. Love for her culture, her heritage, her people.
Rajbir wanted to share her love with everyone. Finding that she had a flair for business, she went about building a platform where street merchants from all parts of India could outsource their goods to the rest of the world.
Baazkart is her vision.
